My definition of capitalism

cap•it•al•ism - an economic and political system where trade and industry are controlled by private owners; this system pits all workers and systemically disadvantaged groups against each other in the name of profit; by employing tactics that keep the masses infighting or yearning for perfection, those at the top continue to accumulate wealth
