Living with disability and illness can be difficult, especially when it comes to dating and relationships. The best advice I could ever give to another couple is to approach this as a team effort – after all, you’re both (or all!) dealing with the repercussions of flares and rough pain days. Together, you can do this.

Note: Hans Asperger was a Nazi scientist who referred many children to the Aktion T4 project to be euthanized. The term "Asperger's" previously represented a specific type of autism. In light of his collusion, that term is being replaced by the autism label in most spaces.
